13th Ave Townhomes

  • The set of four townhomes was constructed on the Cuban Memorial Boulevard Park which intersects with Miami’s famous Calle Ocho.
  • The central design motivation was efficient use of space due to the project’s central location within the city. All concrete construction with impact rated doors and windows were selected to improve the sustainability of the project though increased protection from hurricane magnitude wind and flying debris.
  • The clean modern lines are accentuated with darker colors that strongly contrast with the light walls which are designed to reflect the sun’s heat. The bronze light fixtures, window and door frames are also chosen to add contrast to the front façade. The use of large windows and glass balcoys with recessed doors allow natural light to penetrate deep into the spaces while still preserving the privacy of the interior spaces. The large cantilever in the rear of the building provided cover and shade during the summer days of swimming on the pool.
